SWAT4

Hey everyone, I thought it was time I got my SWAT gear on and explained my little delay in the squad. I’ve been waiting about 3 years for SWAT4 to come out, after playing one of my favorite games of all times – SWAT3 until it practically rotted away All of the tactical SWAT gamers were waiting for a very long time for Sierra to announce their next game; at the time – SWAT: Urban Justice. They released screenshots and movies, even a website, but it just never happened. We were immensely dissapointed, and I was really quite annoyed. Attempts at contacting Sierra were useless,...

X-box live

I just got X-box live and man does it rock!!! Even if you can’t actually PLAY a game online you can download new things like weapons or cars and stuff like that. About the actual gameplay itself: You almost never experience ANY lag and thats good. You can chat with other players in-game via your headset. And of course you have an entire screen instead of split-screen and thats a very good thing So overall if I had to rate it i would give it 9/10 You can find out more about xbox live here.

Microsoft plan lets subscribers download away

Chris Gorog is convinced people won’t continue to pay $1 a song for online music. That is despite Apple’s record string of recent achievements, including 200 million songs sold at its iTunes Music Store, and nearly 4 million iPod digital music players moved into consumers’ homes this year. Gorog runs Apple rival Napster, which offers digital downloads and a music subscription deal. Consumers get unlimited access to listen to 700,000 songs for $9.95 monthly. The hitch is that to move songs onto a portable digital device or to a CD costs extra: $1 a song. That’s one of the...

The End Of Warfare

I found a really interesting article about Fallujah. The End Of Warfare Against the most heavily armed opponent in the history of War, Fallujah has still not let itself be “taken” to date. The mightiest military machine in history has met its match. A turning point in military affairs? The end of warfare, as practiced by the Americans – the application of overwhelming force to obtain a victory? More here Source: Information Clearing House

400GB Iomega drive

Wow. I remember when having a ZIP drive was l33t, and the 1.2GB JAZ was uber. But 400GB? Fast times at Techworld High. Available in three capacities – 400GB, 250GB and 160GB – the external units also sport more commonplace Firewire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces. The disks themselves spin at 7200rpm. Each drive can be mounted horizontally, for drive stacking, or vertically. Iomega bundles its own Automatic Backup software for Windows users, along with Dantz Retrospect Express for Mac owners. The latter constituency will be those most interested in the 800MBps Firewire port, a feature Apple...

Paint.Net

I thought i’d report back on Paint.NET. I am prettey impressed for only a 7MB file, it is much better then the standard MS Paint. I expected it to replace the old paint, but this just acts as a normal application. It is certainly good for the user who wants to be able to do more then just fiddle around in paint, but not go the full extent of purchasing seperate applications to do so. It has layers and even effects that you can add, and it only takes seconds to run, so it completely replaces MS Paint for me! Because the download servers are so packed, i’ve uploaded it for a short time...
