Hijri Date Service

YSE have introduced the Hijri Date Service as an addition to the Hijri Date plugin for WordPress. This project is based on trying to encourage Muslims to use the Islamic date on their websites as a way of increasing their self-awareness of the religion.

As an attempt to improve the potential for user development, the scripts that calcuate the Hijri date and the WordPress plugin script have been released and I have put the effort into commenting the plugin so that the code is more understandable to the user who may wish to modify, improve or add to it.

Currently the service is availiable as a PHP include so you can stick it right on your website without having to download/upload it. You can also use the Javascript method if your website is not using .php which is good for people using 3rd party services such as blogger etc. There are also a range of customisations availiable, so please check it out.
