blank canvas

By Usayd

I stare at the blank canvas before my eyes
So many thoughts and yet no words, I sigh

Erasing old strokes to repetitively start over
Circumstances dictate the world grows colder
My mind is in chains yet my body roams free
Liberation of the mind beats movement of feet
Solitary confinement forces the mind to act
Weak soul under pressure causes me to crack
I always knew life was a narrow path to follow
Heart beats frantically, strong feeling of sorrow
Another mother taken from a friend in pain
I just hope on that day I remember His name.

love this one think i’d change this bit:

I always knew life was a narrow path to follow
Heart beats frantically, strong feeling of sorrow

    to:

I always knew life was a narrow path to follow
Heart beat feels hollow, strong feeling of sorrow

Guess thats just because i feel that way.
