Actions Speak Louder

By Usayd

Listen to this here:

If I swore I would swear, If I cursed I would curse
But instead I release into directed lines of verse
Stop messing with me, I don’t like to play games
I love my brother but do you even know my name
Who am I, what do I want to achieve in this life,
Or is it assumed because we all go through strife.
I hate being angry it’s from the devil you know
But every time this happens my heart turns cold.
We’re like a colony of ants without the strength
That could lead us from heaven at an arms length
Too far that is, not close enough to open up doors
We’re building walls - no we’re falling through floors
I implore you to act before our time is consumed
And next time you speak to me, never assume.
