Iam a youth minister in a black church. We use the gospel to help change the thinking of our kids. Oscar Brown Jr was used by God to deliver this poem as a wake up call to all. Rest in Peace

From the first time I heard this poem I never forgot Oscar Brown Jr., or this poem. He is truly a master at his craft, and one of the last true poets.

I LOVE this poem. Oscar Brown Jr is a master at social commentary. A true poetic genius. Thank you for transcribing this piece. I was going to do the same thing but I found this instead!
