Shudder. I gaze into your eyes
Transfixed. I’m taken by surprise
path to the soul or a black hole
Saw something that made me fold
Glance away from the pale face
feeling your pain is not my place.
Olive green
Bright yet mean
Light blue
Can almost see through
Dark brown
Commonly sound
Pitch black
You’re under attack
Spectrum of sight doesn’t exist
Wide eyes with clenched fist
Peering into shallow or deep
Take light steps with cautious feet
Love at first what? I think not
All I’m doing is looking at a dot.
Haven’t written in such a long time
Almost forgotten these words are mine
Made the move to which I was longing
Yet life gives little sense of belonging
Actually, I don’t want to be a part
The norm is far from the place to start.
Lonely on this side of the fence
No this poem is not a lament
More a reflection of what is missing
Disconnected inside – I do miss Him
Time goes quicker than the mind thinks
My thoughts and actions are out of sync.
I always knew this test would be hard
Indefinitely left the evidence in scars
Your pain and others are not the same
Different measures those deeds in vain
