“Enemy Territory Fortress (ETF), a port of the Quake3 mod Q3F is now available for Enemy Territory players. ETF is based off the Team Fortress concept: 10 unique classes and a ton of very cool weapons along with some killer maps. The mod includes many game types like CTF, Reverse CTF, Single Flag, Capture & Hold, Assault, King of the Hill and Duel. To play the mod, all people need to do is download Enemy Territory and the latest patch which are both free. You can find a list of download mirrors for ETF here.“

“SecurityFocus reports that players sharing house designs through Electronic Arts’ Sims 2 Exchange are finding their game behaving oddly: espresso machines mysteriously satisfy all the Sims needs, Sims are suddenly comfortable with open relationships, and the social worker no longer cares how they treat their children. It turns out hacks were spreading invisibly with Sims 2 lots, infecting thousands of downloadable homes, and catching Electronic Arts by surprise. The hackers, who never intended their hacks to be viruses, have even written their own AV scanner to find and control the...
So what do I care if some french company named Titus goes bankrupt you may ask youreself
Well, if you must know, Titus Interactive is the parent company for Interplay, wich we all of course know for the superb Fallout games (if you do not know fallout you do not deserve to call yourselve a gamer (< -- just a joke that) too bad they sold the game to someone else :(
Although Interplay still has a number of licenses it could sell, including Kingpin, the Baldur’s Gate-free Dark Alliance, and the rights to a Fallout massively multiplayer online role-playing game, the question remains as to...
I intended to release the Q3 source under the GPL by the end of 2004, but we had another large technology licensing deal go through, and it would be poor form to make the source public a few months after a company paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for full rights to it. True, being public under the GPL isn’t the same as having a royalty free license without the need to disclose the source, but I’m pretty sure there would be some hard feelings.
Previous source code releases were held up until the last commercial license of the technology shipped, but with the...

As part of this change, we will also discontinue sending eBay Notifications through Microsoft .NET alerts. If you would like to keep receiving eBay alerts on your...
After Doom 3′s top-class graphics engine made headlines in 2004, it’s hardly surprising to hear it’s being used for a triple-A 2005 release in Quake IV. Continuing the recent industry trend of revitalizing older first-person shooter favorites, Wisconsin-based developer Raven Software is doing the hard work. Quake IV’s project lead Eric Biessman was kind enough to fill us in on the game’s plot, which starts where Quake II left off:
“After destroying the Strogg’s collective brain and leader — the Makron — the Strogg have quickly regrouped under...
Rockstar Games has now made Grand Theft Auto 2 available to download for free.
Rockstar made the original GTA available to download sometime ago. The original, and now GTA2, have been revamped and remastered to work with today’s PCs. However, they do note that the game still may not work correctly, and they cannot take responsibility for any problems caused.
GTA2 was the final game in the series to be 2D for the PlayStation and PC. It was an excellent step-up from the original. Looking back on it now, Rockstar has performed quite an amazing feat by completely transforming the GTA series....
