March 9, 2005, San Francisco, Calif.—Today at the annual Game Developers Conference (GDC), Microsoft® announced the first details about its next-generation Xbox® video game system. Hardware, software, and services are being fused to power enhanced gaming and entertainment experiences.

Handheld gamers across the pond will have to hold out a few months longer than anticipated for the PlayStation Portable’s European release.
Sony says it is delaying the European launch of its hotly anticipated gaming device by several months to ensure it can supply enough units for its U.S. launch.
The PSP, a sleek multimedia gadget that Sony hopes will be its first big success in consumer electronics since the PlayStation 2 five years ago, is already on sale in Japan and will hit U.S. stores on March 24.
Sony’s factories have been unable to churn out enough PSPs to launch them simultaneously...

Finally after much specalation the SWAT4 SP demo is out, and to me, much earlier then expected!
I’m currently testing the game and will report back as soon as I have some results, hopefully posotive ones too!!
I’m prettey excitied about this, and I may put the demo up on the server for download if neccesary.
There seem to be some prettey packed download servers for the game at the moment, which is definately a good sign!

TOKYO–It appears Konami is working on a new installment in its Suikoden role-playing series. News of the development leaked Thursday in the online diary of veteran voice actor Makoto Terada, who mentioned clocking studio time for a Suikoden game.
“At noon, I recorded voices for a game named Suikoden (Konami). In the evening, I worked on an anime named Erementar Gerad, which will be starting in April,” Terada wrote in his blog.

Over the last few weeks we have seen some significant improvements in the SWAT 4 infrastructure which is leading to the release of the game hopefully by April 2005. Over the last few days there have been some new releases such as the SWAT 4 Fansite kit, which we have obtained in order to start on the Usayd SWAT 4 Fansite.
Another recent release was the SWAT4 coop video which has exposed more of the now quite hyped up game.
There has also been rumor of a SWAT 4 single player demo which is hopefully coming out sometime soon!

Long-in-development MMORPG gets a new launch date, two months after its previous one.
After missing its previously announced January 18 launch, the Matrix Online now has a new release date. The massively multiplayer online role-playing game is now set to go online on March 22 in North America. It was scheduled for a simultaneous launch in Europe, where it will now launch in April.

While internet news sources today have reported that Microsoft is readying to launch its next generation Xbox hardware in America and Europe in the fourth quarter of this year, Eurogamer has learnt that the specific timing for the machine’s roll-out is late October or early November, and merely weeks after the US launch.
