Do the people of Iraq have the right to defend themselves against violent foreign invasion and occupation by any means at their disposal against an aggressive and rapacious enemy enjoying overwhelming military superiority?
This is a right Americans unquestionably would invoke were their country invaded and occupied by a foreign power. They would take whatever measures were necessary to defeat the enemy and force it to withdraw.
The United States government supports this position and recognizes its validity in relation to all other nations invaded by foreign aggressors–except...
The truth is coming out?
A highly classified British memo, leaked in the midst of Britain’s just-concluded election campaign, indicates that President Bush decided to overthrow Iraqi President Saddam Hussein by summer 2002 and was determined to ensure that U.S. intelligence data supported his policy.
The document, which summarizes a July 23, 2002, meeting of British Prime Minister Tony Blair with his top security advisers, reports on a visit to Washington by the head of Britain’s MI-6 intelligence service.
The visit took place while the Bush administration was still declaring to the...

He closed his effort with words of caution about potential future threats and careful assessment of this...

Hey everyone,
As you all probably know, I am Iraqi and I am totally against the illegal war and occupation of Iraq and Palestine. You may have heard about the latest Demonstration against the war in London organised by Stop the War, Muslim Association of Britain and CND. I am pleased to say that this was a very successful demonstration and I feel that contributing to this was a great success for all of the 200,000 demonstrators.
I took a few pictures, and I have just recently implemented a new gallery for Usayd Networks, which is available here.
IF you have any pictures to contribute please do...
By Robert Fisk 01/16/05 "The Independent" — Sunday 30 January will be the day when myth and reality come together with – I fear – an all too literal bang. The magic date upon which Iraq is supposed to transform itself into a democracy will no doubt be greeted as another milestone in America’s adventure and, I suspect, another "great day for Iraq" by Lord Blair of Kut al-Amara. He, of course, doesn’t have to be blown up in the polling stations or torn to pieces by suicide bombers on the way home. The "martyrs of democracy", as I am sure...
