SuprNova Gone?

from SuprNova Greetings everybody, As you have probably noticed, we have often had downtimes. This was because it was so hard to keep this site up! But now we are sorry to inform you all, that SuprNova is closing down for good in the way that we all know it. We do not know if SuprNova is going to return, but it is certainly not going to be hosting any more torrent links. We are very sorry for this, but there was no other way, we have tried everything. Desktop search roundup

I found this article on InsideGoogle . It’s an interesting review of Google Desktop Search, MSN Desktop Suite, and Ask Jeeves Desktop Search. Looks like Jeeves doesn’t work that well… He compares them, and gives us some stunning results, eg: Jeeves found 12,920 files, MSN found 13,275, and Google found 3,126 (not including things like email and AIM, which the others didn’t index). He also declares a winner: The winner (for now)? In the category of “Desktop Search”, Best Overall Product… - MSN Desktop Search Google takes second place. Read the full article...

Interested in Apple?

Well over the last year or so, Apple has certainly made an impact on the market. With its very interesting iPod being the highest selling MP3 player and all! I had a mac from a young age, and i’ve always loved them. I switched to pc’s for flexibility and gaming, but the mac was always a very nice thing to have around. Unfortunately compatiblilty on the mac means that you are prettey limited to what you can do. Thats why many people either just have a PC on Windows or Linux, or they have both a PC and a Mac. If you’ve considered switching to a Mac, you’ll certainly be encouraged...

Christmas at Microsoft

I just posted something on Christmas themes, and what happens? Microsoft uploads one. No new visual style, but a wallpaper, a 3d screensaver, new icons, cursors, and sounds. I downloaded it not knowing what I would get, because I couldn’t find a screenshot, and tried it out. First impression: it looks horrifying The wallpaper is…OK but could be a lot better, the screensaver is ..yuk. The icons are nice, the cursors (3) are an animated santa, which is not easy to use, and the sounds…are nice, but far too few. Click here to get it PS: don’t forget to check out the Winter...

Christmas is coming…

Well, it’s only a week or so to Christmas and I found some cool stuff I wanted to share: People who like skinning their desktops (or want to try it) should have a look at this: Stardock is giving away a free Holiday Desktop Suite. screenshot: Although not really my style (I do like the Start button and menu) some might like it. I also found this well animated and funny flash animation at DeviantART. That’s about all (I did find some more ‘free’ stuff, but it was filled with ad- and spyware) DarthTibault
