It’s all over for Iron Mike?! The BBC reports: Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson said he will quit boxing after losing to Irish journeyman Kevin McBride in Washington on Saturday. Tyson looked far from comfortable during his fight which many expected him to win, and referee Joe Cortez stopped the fight before round seven. McBride, from Monaghan, was awarded the bout on a technical knockout. "I’m not going to fight again. I haven’t got the fighting guts or the heart any more," said the 38-year-old. Japan unveils “robot suit” that enhances human power

Japan has taken a step into the science-fiction world with the release of a "robot suit" that can help workers lift heavy loads or assist people with disabilities climb stairs. "Humans may be able to mutate into supermen in the near future," said Yoshiyuki Sankai, professor and engineer at Tsukuba University who led the project. The 15-kilogram (33-pound) battery-powered suit, code-named HAL-5, detects muscle movements through electrical-signal flows on the skin surface and then amplifies them. Chinese Gamer Sentenced to Life

Just found this article on the BBC news site: A Shanghai online gamer has been given a suspended death sentence for killing a fellow gamer. Qui Chengwei stabbed Zhu Caoyuan in the chest when he found out he had sold his virtual sword for 7,200 Yuan (£473). The sword, which Mr Qui had lent to Mr Zhu, was won in the popular online game Legend of Mir 3. Attempts to take the dispute to the police failed because there is currently no law in China to protect virtual property. Rambus suing Samsung

Earlier this week, Rambus filed suit manufacturers it has originally filed suit against, claiming that Samsung’s SDRAM, against one of its oldest partners, Samsung, who was one of the first licensees of the company’s RDRAM. Rambus has essentially added Samsung to the list of memoryDDR RAM, GDDR2, and GDDR3 memory products violate Rambus patents. Amnesty International Wants U.S. Officials Arrested and Investigated

Amnesty International USA urged foreign governments Wednesday to use international law to investigate Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and other alleged American "architects of torture" at Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay and other prisons where detainees suspected of ties to terrorist groups have been interrogated.
